We value collaboration with brokers, leaders, advisors, the Wellness Task Force and our Labor Management Committee from evaluation to implementation and ongoing management.

Unlike other commercial and non-profit insurance carriers, the Better Health Collective is regulated, member-owned, and focused on long-term stability. We also calculate drug rebate dollars per employee per month and return them directly to our members, ensuring greater value. In addition, the Collective has more discipline around standards for incoming members. 

The Collective’s other key differences include governance, claims management, and oversight. By pooling all of these groups together, we secure better rates, demonstrating that we are better together by sharing this risk.

While the Collective is not responsible for the competitive bidding process, we help to alleviate the administrative burden that often falls on time-stressed HR managers, brokers, and consultants, allowing them to focus on their core mission of serving public needs. A key advantage we offer is delivering renewals in August, a full month ahead of most competitors who deliver in September. This timeliness is highly valued, as it gives organizations more time to prepare for the upcoming year.
